Penmend — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Penmend ("Penmend", "we", "us"), operated by Penmend (India), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Penmend mobile application (the "App"). Penmend provides AI-assisted handwriting analysis and graphotherapy exercises for personal reflection and entertainment. Penmend is not a medical, psychological, or clinical service and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

By using the App, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

• Handwriting images you capture with your camera or upload from your device for analysis.
• Derived handwriting data — measured stroke features and cropped images of individual letters extracted from your sample.
• Conversations — messages you exchange with the in-app AI analysts, and short durable "memory" notes we derive from your messages so an analyst can recall context in later sessions.
• An anonymous account identifier — the App uses anonymous sign-in. We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, or a password.
• In-app credits — your coin/credit balance used within the App.
• Limited technical data — basic information needed to operate the service (e.g., app requests and error logs).

We do not knowingly collect government IDs, precise location, contacts, or financial account numbers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To analyze your handwriting and generate readings, traits, and personalized practice drills.
• To power conversations with the AI analysts and to remember relevant context across your sessions.
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the App.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your handwriting images or chats for advertising.

3. AI Processing and Service Providers

To provide the App's features, your data is processed by trusted third-party service providers acting on our behalf:

• A cloud platform that provides database, file storage, and anonymous authentication — where your scans, derived features, conversations, and memory notes are stored.
• An AI processing provider — to which your handwriting images and conversation text are sent so the App can extract handwriting features and generate analysis and replies.

These providers process data on our behalf under their respective terms, and your information may be processed or stored on servers located outside India.

4. Data Retention

We retain your scans, derived data, conversations, and memory notes for as long as needed to provide the App's features (including showing your history and progress). You may request deletion of your data at any time (see "Your Rights").

5. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To make a request, contact us at digitalamit4@gmail.com. Because accounts are anonymous, we may ask for information to locate the data associated with your device/installation.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Not Medical Advice

Handwriting analysis and graphotherapy in Penmend are intended for self-reflection and entertainment only. They are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice. If you are in distress, please reach out to a qualified professional or a trusted person.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the App.
