Manifest Aloud is a private space for recording, writing, and dictating personal affirmations and goals. This policy explains plainly what stays on your device and what is shared.
Everything you create in the app is stored only on your device. Voice recordings are saved as audio files in the app's private storage. Written affirmations, dictated text, and dump entries are saved in a local database on your device. Names, transcripts, and settings such as loop preferences stay on your device.
We never upload, read, access, or share the content you create. Your recordings and words are not sent to us or to anyone else. If you uninstall the app, this content is removed by your device along with it.
To understand how the app is used and to measure our advertising, the app includes two third-party tools:
Meta (Facebook) SDK — shares limited, content-free usage events with Meta, such as that the app was installed or that an entry was saved. Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) — records similar anonymous usage events and crash/diagnostic reports to help us fix problems and improve the app.
These tools describe that an action happened, never what you said or wrote. They may also process standard device information (such as device model, app version, and an advertising or installation identifier) used for measurement and crash reporting. This data is handled under Meta's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
On iOS, advertising measurement only uses the advertising identifier if you allow tracking when the system asks; you can decline, and the app works fully either way.
The app uses your microphone only while you are actively recording a voice affirmation or using Dictate. Microphone audio is used only for these features on your device. We do not stream, store remotely, or send your microphone audio anywhere.
The Dictate feature converts speech to text using your device's built-in speech recognition, handled by your device's operating system. Depending on your device and settings, your OS provider (for example, Google or Apple) may process speech audio to perform recognition, under their own privacy policies. The app itself does not collect or retain this audio.
No account or login. We do not read or analyze the content you create. We do not sell your personal data. We collect no data beyond the anonymous usage, measurement, and crash events described above.
The app requests microphone permission for recording and dictation. You can grant or deny it in your device settings at any time; if denied, recording and dictation will not work, but the rest of the app continues to function.
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
